- Responsibilities:
- Animators will have the opportunity to bring to life a broad range of 3D characters for our original IP projects. Duties will also include facial animation for low- and high-resolution characters.
- Required:
- Degree in Animation or equivalent work experience as an animator.
- Thorough understanding of polygonal modeling, UV texture mapping, character rigging, and 3d animation in 3DS Max/Character Studio (preferred), or Maya.
- Proven ability to apply traditional animation principles to 3d characters.
- Experienced with procedural animation, including cloth simulation, dynamics, and particle-based systems.
- An understanding of human and animal anatomy.
- Strong traditional art background.
- Experience with Photoshop.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Graphic designers work closely with the marketing and art teams to create web and print materials to support marketing campaigns for the company and our games. Our graphic designers work on a variety of projects and are involved from concept to completion. This position reports to the VP of Art.

- Responsibilities:
- New website design, in close cooperation with marketing and product teams.
- Development of print & web marketing materials, such as print and online ads, corporate print layouts, etc.
- Art production work for existing website updates.
- Creation of high-resolution products for online store, such as posters, clothing, and books.
- Development of product packaging.
- Other responsibilities may include user interfaces and other graphics for our games
- Required:
- Degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, or equivalent work experience as a Graphic Designer.
- Thorough understanding of interface design and usability.
- Proven skills in creating powerful design and marketing materials.
- Experienced web site designer.
- Highly proficient with Photoshop.
- Strong traditional art background.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Desired:
- Previous experience in product packaging

IT MANAGER
Gas Powered Games is looking for a highly-motivated, detail-oriented and technically-adept individual to fill the role of IT Manager. This position reports directly to the President, and will work closely with the Systems Administrator on a daily basis.

- Responsibilities:
- Create new and administer existing policies and goals for the IT department
- Work with cutting edge technology in a fun Game Development environment
- Analyze the needs of all departments and establish priorities for systems design, integration, and modifications necessary to ensure the highest level of productivity by the teams, ensuring that the IT infrastructure is never a limiting factor during product development
- Manage all aspects of the IT team
- Ongoing oversight of infrastructure management, including system availability, integrity, confidentiality, and maintenance
- Design new systems and infrastructure enhancements to accommodate an increasing user base and its increased consumption of resources
- Preparing, tracking, and managing purchase orders and related documentation for all hardware and software purchases for the organization
- Maintain and develop strong vendor relationships
- Provide end user support as backup to the Systems Administrator when necessary
- Required:
- Minimum 8 years IT experience
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Experience with network infrastructure design and integration
- Experience with and knowledge of current security issues and technologies
- Experience in an Active Directory + Exchange environment, including integration, administration, and troubleshooting
- Ability to perform advanced server and network administration skills including upgrades and maintenance of hardware, operating systems, and network devices
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to create and write clear, complete documentation of systems and procedures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including high degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency
- Great leadership skills, with the ability and drive to lead a team to consistent success
- Desired:
- Industry-related degree
- Industry certification, either vendor-neutral or specific (CISSP, MCSx, CCNx, etc.)
- Experience with SCM administration (Perforce, CVS, Subversion, VSS, etc.)
- Scripting experience relating to administration (Powershell, Perl, Python, bash, etc.)

- Design and implement core game play where applicable.
- Design and implement special effects and other content embellishments.
- Required:
- Good working knowledge of scripting languages
- 2+ Years of experience working with an object oriented programming language.
- Good organizational, communication and documentation skills.
- Good aesthetic and game play sensibility.
- Desired:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Previous special effects work or MOD experience

- Expose engine systems and features to content creators and designers.

- Strong debugging and communication skills
- Knowledge of a scripting language (Lua, Python, etc).
- 2D/3D Graphics programming skills
- Strong sense of aesthetics and game play
- Desired:
- Basic understanding of 3D Studio Max
- Previous game modding experience

Work with other talented engineers to build technology foundations for future titles. Help us build technology that will be leveraged by future engines and future tools.

- Design, implement core game engine components.
- Design, implement low-level tool components.
- Design, implement, and/or modify asset creation work flow(s).
- Required:
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Mastery of C++ with a minimum of four years C++ work experience.
- Strong debugging skills.
- Desired:
- DB, C#, Windows Forms are a plus but not required.
